Retrofit.
Our system provides energy efficient low power heating directly to the cylinder wall and is designed to maintain the hot water temperature between 60°C and 63°C. Large savings are made as you are only heating the water which you use, not the whole cylinder every time like the immersion heater.
New.
With a new cylinder you are provided with a blank canvas to power your cylinder however you like and be involved in the design process from start to finish. All our new cylinders come with our highly efficient low power heating elements attached as standard. We can then cater to your needs to add extra sources of heat e.g ASHP.

Green Grid Innovations are the producers of a low power, energy saving, electrical heating system developed specifically for domestic hot water tank heating applications. This cost effective revolutionary product is simple in design and ideally lends itself to after-fit application to an existing hot water cylinder.
Our system consists of a dual configuration 24V 130W insulated self-adhesive heater pad with built in thermostatic controls and is operated by a control box to provide a much more efficient way of heating and storing your hot water in comparison to the common uneconomical immersion heater.
Large savings are made as you are only heating the water which you use, not the whole cylinder every time like the immersion heater. Due to our system heating water at a slower pace, economy tariffs can be utilised to heat your hot water over night at a greatly reduced cost. As soon as the water temperature is back within the desired temperature range the system operates in low power mode, leaving the bottom section of the system to economically keep the whole cylinders volume of water at 63°C. Heating in this controlled manner makes further energy savings by eliminating overshoot of temperature and eliminating the large cost typically associated with running immersion heaters 24/7.
The combination of all these advantages means that your existing hot water cylinder can be quickly and cost effectively made more energy efficient by utilising our patented technology and making use of renewable energy sources when available.

The current mindset in the UK is to replace old hot water cylinders with gas powered boilers. We believe this method is outdated and our beliefs are supported by that of the UK government and the climate committee. A lot of the most renewable ways of providing hot water now require a hot water cylinder. Alongside our partners at Newark Copper Cylinders we can develop a new hot water cylinder to suit your needs.
The Cylinder becomes the heart of the home and can be powered by any number of heat sources. The cylinders will come fitted with our revolutionary heat pad technology (running from solar and grid), alongside this we can provide a number of inlets for any additional heat sources you have or want including ASHP.
